This year Tyler played in the minors for the McCormick Ranch Little League. He had a great team - the Giants! Their season ran from February to late May and we had lots of fun at Chaparral Park - watching games and eating slushies.

Tyler LOVES baseball - loves playing it, talking about it, watching it, making up his own games at home . . . . I wonder where he gets that from? His favorite position is shortstop and he had a great coach that was a shortstop when he played. He made Tyler love it even more.

Tyler has a powerful hit and when he gets ahold of the ball it definitely puts a big smile on his dad's face. Chad is in pure heaven watching his son play. One game he had some amazing hits and he was given the game ball by his coaches. They only did this a couple times during the season, so Tyler was pretty excited.

He also mastered the art of sliding - or rather conquered his fear of sliding. By the end of the season he didn't hesitate to get down and dirty at the plate. This made many loads of laundry for me. I've discovered there is just no good way to get red dirt out of white pants and finally gave up even trying.

Yes, baseball is in full swing at our house. The boys are big Diamondbacks fans and we are always either playing or watching games. Today I especially loved the game that went for 18 innings. Really?!?! At least it gives me a little time to blog.

Ahhh. Baseball. Ahhhh. The only thing better than an 18 inning game is . . . a 20 inning game. Michelle is a good sport.
