Last Wednesday we drove up to Pinetop for our last summer trip. We had been meaning to go up there all summer, but things got a little hectic. My parents have a cabin up there that we stay at. We had so much fun and it was so nice to get out of the heat! It's just beautiful up there and it is also very nostalgic for me. I used to spend most of my summer at our cabin in Clay Springs with my family, so it's fun for me to spend time up there. The kids love going on "nature walks." They take little bags or baskets with them and collect rocks, sticks, moss, leaves, whatever they can find. They get so excited when they find things. It's the little things that make them happy. Here Justin and Julia are ready to go with their bags. Justin is once again being silly and thought it was just so fun running around outside.

Another tradition we have to do when we go up to the cabin is blow bubbles outside. My mom buys a huge bottle of "bubble juice" as we call it, and has all kinds of bubble blowing tools. Tyler loved making huge bubbles this time. The kids are very entertained by it and end up covered in bubble goo by the end. It's worth it though.

We were up until about midnight every night we were there. The kids just didn't want to stop having fun. But, Saturday afternoon Justin had had enough. I looked over and he was fast asleep on the couch. I just love when they fall asleep like that. I have so many pictures of my kids when they fall asleep. They're so peaceful and so sweet. And, for that little moment you aren't having to chase them! This picture makes me smile. I love Justin's little lips. He definitely didn't get them from me.
